Ando San was born and raised in San Fernando Valley, CA where he was surrounded by the sounds of R&B, hip hop, funk, and soul that his family was dancing and singing to at any given time. He began developing a genre he calls "Prog-hop" which focuses heavily on progressive guitar and hip hop beats. Through his music, Ando hopes to find meaning, connection, and peace in life.

What is one memorable tour/music related story you have?

The most memorable memory have is pretty recent. I had a drummer named justin brown play on my album seeing pastures. He's the live drummer for thundercat and I played a live show with him and Dennis Hamm (the keyboard player for thundercat) that night I got to play with my hero's and also hang out with thundercat. It was awesome.

What Ormsby instrument do you use and how do you pair it with other equipment?

I use my signature ormsby and I also use the 8 string shark hype.

I use the line 6 pod go when I play live. I use cause its the only multi effects pedal I have honestly. Works with my songs and the tones are pretty sick!
