Ormsby GTR Production Range
Premium Korean-made Instruments Inspired By Our Custom Designs
OUR GTR PRODUCTION RANGE
The Ormsby GTR Production range is our line of multiscale and standard scale instruments based on our famous custom shop designs like the HypeMachine, SX, TX, Metals, and Goliath. After several years of preparation, we partnered with World Music Instruments as manufacturers, who are without a doubt the BEST offshore instrument makers.
Each guitar is checked for quality control by both World (Korea) and our team in Australia upon arrival. With features like custom hardware made exclusively for us, pickups wound to the same specifications as Ormsby's custom models, stainless steel frets, and much more; the GTR range sets a new standard for affordable production guitars.
WHAT IS A "RUN"?
Our GTR Production Guitars are done in specific model batches or "Runs" as we call them. Throughout the year, we discuss directly with our customers and fellow musicians within the Ormsby GTR Discussion Group community. We listen to feedback and read every message and comment to get a true understanding of what you want to play.
Details like colours, pickups, and aesthetic features are decided on by our community of musicians from around the world and we factor these elements in during our design process. Once we've narrowed down which models and options we're going to offer, a new Run is announced and Pre-Orders open!

PRE-ORDER INFORMATION
When a new run is announced, we'll reveal digital mock-ups along with all pricing and specs, which you'll be able to choose from to place your pre-order. This allows you to lock in the exact guitar you want, which will be built for you, plus the peace of mind knowing you're guaranteed to get the specs you're after.
We only order a handful of extras on top of the pre-orders, which make their way to our online store, but once they're gone - they're gone! Ordering this way with smaller batches allows us to have excellent quality instruments with outstanding features. It also gives us the opportunity to offer exciting new colours and designs that are consistently different each time, as well as maintaining affordable prices.
BEFORE YOU PRE-ORDER WITH US INTERNATIONALLY
Before you go ahead and place a pre-order with us directly, please read the following: Our distributor and dealer network has worked extremely hard to help us increase brand exposure, allowing more access to purchasing our instruments. We have worked very closely with the distributors and stores to try and get pricing as close to equal throughout the world.
If you are pre-ordering directly from us, you will have to cover the importation, taxes, duties, and postage costs to your locality. This means, if you are in Europe or the UK, you'll pay import taxes and VAT on your purchase. In Japan and China, there are importation costs and taxes.
When distributors and dealers import guitars, they cover these taxes and duties. They will be included in the final price, and the price you see at the store is the all-inclusive price. The pricing you see on this website is direct from us and does NOT cover any local costs, fees, taxes, or duties.
If for some rare and unfortunate event you have a warranty claim or shipping damage (heaven forbid!), you will be covered regardless. However, this process is much smoother, faster, and easier if you have a local store to assist. Unfortunately, our stores and distributors won't be able to assist if you pre-order directly from us.
We encourage our international customers in Europe, China, and Japan to pre-order through your local store. If you don't have a local store, that's fine; go ahead with a pre-order below.
