Roberto Barros is a highly talented Brazilian guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer with a rich career spanning various music styles. His musical journey began at the age of 17 when he was admitted to the prestigious School of Music and Technology (EM&T), where he pursued his passion for jazz and fusion. Roberto went on to graduate and post-graduate in these fields, further honing his craft. In 2004, he continued his studies at the renowned Souza Lima Berklee College. Additionally, he is a graduate of LEM – Linguagem e Estruturação Musical, an advanced course focusing on melodic, harmonic, and counterpoint reading.

For over 15 years, Roberto Barros has been at the helm of the Roberto Barros Institute, where he serves as both a professor and the director. His contributions to the music community have been recognized with several accolades. In 2014, he won the “Praise the Lord” award with the Catholic band Estação 12, an honor often referred to as the Catholic Oscar, for the best Catholic rock album in Latin America. Two years later, in 2016, Roberto received the prestigious TOP OF MIND award in the Baixada Santista region for being recognized as the best guitar teacher, acknowledging his professionalism and the excellence of the method he developed at the Roberto Barros Guitar Institute.

Roberto's musical career continued to flourish when, in 2017, he was invited by one of heavy metal's greatest vocalists, Edu Falaschi, to join his solo band. Roberto toured across Brazil and internationally, playing in countries such as Japan and several locations across Europe. His exceptional skills on the guitar were further celebrated when he was named the second-best guitarist in Brazil in 2018, 2019, and 2020 by Revista Roadie Crew, one of the most respected magazines in the music world.

In 2019, Roberto contributed to the biggest heavy metal DVD ever made in Brazil, alongside Edu Falaschi and drummer Aquiles Priester. The DVD marked Edu Falaschi's first, featuring a massive recording setup and a historic collaboration with one of the greatest names in classical music, Maestro João Carlos Martins, and his orchestra, Bachiana Filarmônica Sesi-SP.

Throughout his career, Roberto has been praised for his virtuosity and impeccably clean execution. In 2021, he contributed to Edu Falaschi’s highly anticipated album *Vera Cruz*, where he played a significant role as a producer, guitarist, co-author of three songs, and arranger alongside Falaschi. That same year, Roberto made history by becoming the first Brazilian guitarist to sign with the world-renowned brand ORMSBY Guitars, specializing in multiscale instruments.

In 2022, Roberto was named the best national guitarist by the readers of Roadie Crew Magazine, an award honoring his achievements in 2021. Currently, Roberto is working on an instrumental album with the virtuoso drummer Aquiles Priester, showcasing his talent and creativity in new, exciting ways.
